College prospects know they're going to be drug tested at the NFL Combine, yet every year there are players who fail the test. According to Alex Marvez and Jay Glazer of FOX, Georgia defensive end Justin Houston and Iowa defensive tackle Christian Ballard both failed drug tests for marijuana at combine.
Houston is considered a late first round pick (I have him going #19 to the New York Giants) and Ballard was projected as a second round pick.
While a positive drug test isn't the best thing to have on your resume, it's not the worst thing either. Many players have failed drug tests at the Combine and still been drafted in the early rounds.
