Football has always been in my blood. I played the sport in high school and college, spent four years as a Minnesota Vikings ball boy and my grandfather spent a season with the New York Giants. Like most of you, football isn’t just a game to me; it’s a way of life. In my house, Sundays revolve around the NFL and fantasy football is a big part of my routine.
I spent ten years in television news as a reporter, anchor and executive producer. I've reported on several significant news and sporting events including presidential campaigns, September 11 attacks, opening day at Target Field, Minnesota Vikings playoff games and the 2008 U.S. Women's Open at Interlachen Country Club in Edina, MN.
I am not a fantasy football expert or an NFL insider. I am an educated football fan and an avid football watcher. I search for trends, statistics and favorable match-ups to better help you understand the game of football. I am also a Vikings fans, but I always try and be objective when writing about football.
I hope you find this blog insightful and educational. I am available for interviews. If you're interested, please contact me at: mattlechner@gmail.com.
