NFL Lockout's Impact On The Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are taking a lot of positive steps towards becoming a very good team. They have some good, young talented players on offense and defense that came together nicely last season. They could use the off season practices to get sharper as a unit, but overall, they're in very good shape to repeat their 2010 feats and make the playoffs.

2011 Fantasy Football Scouting Report: Matt Cassel, QB, Kansas City Chiefs

2010 Stats
  3116 yds.
  27 TDs
     7 INTs
2011 Projected
  3225 yds.
  23 TDs
     10 INTs

Cassel was one of the pleasant surprises from last season. He did a very good job of managing the Chiefs offense and helped wide receiver Dwayne Bowe emerge as a red zone superstar. Kansas City's run-heavy offense hurts Cassel's production, but he's nice back-up option who can start against favorable match-ups (which he had a lot of last season). The Chiefs added Pittsburgh wide receiver Jonathan Baldwin in the 2011 NFL Draft, who if he can make plays opposite Bowe, will increase Cassel's fantasy football value.
