The Minnesota Vikings may have a big hole to fill if Sidney Rice leaves, which according his agent may happen. According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Drew Rosenhaus, Rice's agent, said the receiver will not sign a deal with the Vikings prior to free agency.
Rosenhaus did leave the option open for Rice returning to Vikings, but said his client wants to test the free agent market.
Rice missed ten games in 2010 after having hip surgery in August. He managed just 17 catches for 280 yards and two touchdowns last season. Rice has missed 16 games due to injury in his four-year career.
Rice, who turns 25 in September, had a breakout season in 2009, catching 83 balls for 1,312 yards and eight touchdowns.
