Baltimore Ravens reportedly ready to cut Willis McGahee

The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly planning to release RB Willis McGahee, that's according to a report in The Baltimore Sun.

McGahee, who will turn 30 October, is due a $6 million salary in 2011. According to the paper, the move will likely happen after a new Collective Bargaining Agreement is reached.

McGahee rushed for a career low 380 yards and five touchdowns last season for the Ravens.

Baltimore Ravens place franchise tag on Haloti Ngata

The Baltimore Ravens became the latest team to place the franchise tag on one of their free agents, Pro Bowl defensive tackle Haloti Ngata.

The franchise tag designation will earn Ngata somewhere in the neighborhood of $12.5 million in 2011.

Ngata, who is 27, just finished his fifth season with the Ravens. He had 65 tackles and a career-high 5½ sacks this season and made the Pro Bowl for a second consecutive year.

2012 NFL Super Bowl XLVI Odds

With the 2010-2011 NFL season now history, it’s time to start looking ahead to next season. Assuming there is a season this fall, it’s never too soon to start handicapping the race for next Super Bowl champion.
Less than 24 hours after the Green Bay Packers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers in Super Bowl XLV, the 2012 Super Bowl odds have been released. And much to my surprise, the Packers are not the early favorites.
