2011 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Delone Carter

Delone Carter, Syracuse  (5'9" 220 lbs.)

Positives: He's a tough runner who plays with a lot of effort. He's a solid runner between the tackles, and can run through arm tackles. He does a very good of protecting the football. He has good vision and awareness, will likely contribute right away as a short yardage back.

Negatives: He doesn't have great speed. He's not much of a pass catcher, had only 28 receptions during his four-year college career. Character is a concern, had a misdemeanor assault charge. He's not the most durable runner, missed two seasons due to injury.
