2011 NFL Draft Scouting Report: Phil Taylor

Phil Taylor, Baylor (6'3" 335 lbs.)

Positives: He has a good first step and plays with a solid anchor. He has very good strength at the point of attack and uses his hands extremely well. He can bull rush his way into the backfield and has a good arsenal of moves. He's very stout against the run. He can take on a double team and would fit in best as 3-4 nose tackle.

Negatives: He has a tendency to play too high at times. He needs to work on his conditioning and his durability. He comes with some character concerns (he was kicked out of Penn State). He has a tendency to add weight. He was once up near 400 pounds.
